Topic: applying for an interpreter

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to be considered for the interpreter position in your head office, as advertised on the Career Builder website on 31st October.

As outlined in my curriculum vitae, which I have enclosed, I attended the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) where I successfully completed my “A” level studies, as well as achieved an 8.0 IELTS score. In 2015, I graduated from ULIS with a Bachelor’s degree in Interpreting and Translation.

During being a sophomore in ULIS, I was employed as a tour guide in G Adventures company, where my duties included familiarizing the customers with various Vietnam regions by oral or written presentations and communicating with the groups about the details of the tours. After graduation, I made an arrival in the United States and participated in an interpreting internship at Talent Mind Education. Not only was I responsible for involving into institutions projects and valuable soft skills, but also took over translating various academic contexts positon.

At present, I am worked as the Professional Interpreter and Translator in ESC Headquarters, a position I have held for three years. I am now in charge of providing essential foreign partners with precise translations of written materials and interpretations of verbal communication by diverse accents, speaking tempos, and personalities. Moreover, my responsibilities involve imparting emotions and purposes of speakers into the target language without additions or omissions. I am generally noted for my organizational and excellent interpreting skills.

I hold a strong belief that I would be an ideal candidate for the position you have outlined since I have been proficient in not only English and Vietnamese language but Chinese as well. Furthermore, my time spent working in interpreting field has assisted me to obtain outstanding proofreading techniques relating to identifying grammar, spelling and punctuation errors. It would be beneficial for your company for hiring me as I have also developed self-esteem in collaboration with overseas’ companions and strong comprehension of written materials. Especially, I am well-versed with all new technologies and always strive towards keeping up with new methods in effective interpreting. Finally, working in a group is my strength, which could make me more outstanding compared to other candidates.

My resume is enclosed here for your review. Should you require any further information, I am always willing to attend an interview at any time. Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,

Trang
