Please clear this up for me

Hi guys,

I finally found some time for the translation. Could you please explain me the next situation?

Context: Kate is a girl who decided to attend the military school. But her father (Hank Butler) was against it. Her mother is telling about it to cops....

Her mother: Kate would have done anything for her father, but you don't defy Hank Butler. (But Hank Butler hates when someone is arguing with him?)

Cop: She'd made up her mind.(She was already decided?)

Her mother: I always sided with my husband, but there comes a time when a child needs more than just tough love.

thanks and have a good day.

Best Regards

It is more than this. Unless this is said in jest, ie. if it is said in all seriousness, then it means that it is proba

JCDenton Her mother: I always sided with my husband, but there comes a time when a child needs more than just tough love. Re Kate's point, this line suggests that a change may have taken place for both the mother and daughter.

Cop: She'd made up her mind.
