Please clear these doubts.

Hi Sir,

Please help me clarify these doubts.

Qn. 1. Please let me know if 'and so' is a conjuction.

Qn. 2. Do we use correlative conjunctions to join two independent clauses?

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,

Sooris.

Hello, 1- and and so are seperate conjunctions. I haven't seen and so used as a conjunction before. In fact, it is hard to guess without a context.

  • 2- Hmmm, yes we can use them for this aim but they don't only join independant clauses .

Hi Sooris

Did you have a specific sentence in mind?

The words 'and' and 'so' are used for different reasons. The word 'so' can be used to mean 'and for this reason'. If that's the meaning you're after, you can simply use 'so' (i.e. it is not necessary to also use the word 'and').
