Please check usage of 'would'

Which one of the following sentences is more correct (natural) ?

1) Yesterday I asked her would she follow me whenever I went
2) Yesterday I asked her would she follow me whenever I would go

To me they're both ungrammatical and unnatural, although you will certainly hear them in casual conversation. ) I perfer #1 as corrected. I think #2 is regional, but I don't know if it's correct.

To me they're both ungrammatical and unnatural, although you will certainly hear them in casual conversation.

The normal construction is, "Yesterday I asked her if she would etc." (Don't forget the periods.)

I perfer #1 as corrected.

I think #2 is regional, but I don't know if it's correct. I used to hear the double-would in the midwest as an adult, and it always jolt
