Thanks in advance.
It started with an ominous sound and followed by a breeze springing through the open window. On noticing that, I turned around and looked outside. Only overwhelming darkness and utmost silence filled the garden. It was, however, not long before the unique scent of rain started to pervade the air. Silence was soon broken when the drip of the rain made it presence heard from above the roof.
At first, it sounded like rock-throwing coming with an irregular and interrupted rhythm. However, it gradually gained its strength and intensity with time. At its climax, when all the still of the night dissipated, I felt like sitting next to a gigantic waterfall and watching it striking continuously and ferociously upon the top of my house. The former noiseless atmosphere no longer reigned. The roaring of the rain took its place, drowned out other noises and made itself the only single sound to be heard of. Again, I looked through the window, gazed upon the darkness enshrouding the sleeping garden. The night curtain was too thick to see any drop falling down. Without constant sound from the roof, it was a pretty sure bet that one could barely realize the rain pelting outside. When it rains at night, it is like watching a pictureless movie. Only sound heard, not even a frame is shown. Such a hilarious thought I made.
However, the night rain only lasted for a while. It ended as quickly as the way it had started. The thundering sound trailed away. Only its scent still lingered on. The atmosphere got a little fresher. And the room got back to how it used to be: quiet and silence-filled. Everything was back to its former self…Outside the garden...a dawn has yet broken out…
