On February 12, 2010 I got a speeding ticket going from Freer, TX to Laredo, TX. I was on my way to Mexico to take my daughter to the doctor due to a severe stomach infection and more screening needed to do. Medical treatments in Mexico cost about half the price than in US.
I was pulled over while rushing to the next gas station. My daughter had thrown up a couple of times earlier in the day and had diarrhea. She was experiencing a terrible stomach pain and needed urgently to use the bathroom.
I’m a teacher at _________ and know one of the oldest excuses for everything is the “diarrhea excuse”, but this time it was a genuine emergency and I’m attaching proven documentation: a letter from the doctor who saw my daughter next day in Monterrey, Mexico, while we have to stay the night at Nuevo Laredo, because my daughter wasn’t able to continue our trip to Monterrey. I requested the day off for medical reasons; to take my daughter to the doctor. I told the doctor about the traffic ticket and he put a note requesting a ticket dismissal due to medical reasons. I respectfully request your consideration for a ticket dismissal.
