It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents for instance for sports or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musicians.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

A few people are of the view that some are born with natural qualities which enable them to succeed in their fields while many take the view that children can learn any talent in order to become successful. In my opinion, children can be taught any skill as only few people are born with innate talent.

On the one hand, advocates of in-born talent believe that it cannot be taught and those who lack this quality cannot become successful persons in their life. In other words, those who try to learn a particular skill fail in their endeavors since they do not have the god-gifted capability. Thus, learning a skill is the waste of time in their view. In 2016, for example, the Hollywood industry selected only those candidates who were doing acting since their birth and rejected all others. However, there are numerous prominent musicians and artists who have become successful after rigorous training in their career even though they did not have any quality or initial interest.

On the other hand, many believe that people can learn any useful skill in their childhood since only few are born with natural talent. They have a strong view that if a person starts practicing any skill in childhood, they can easily master it and gain proficiency. This is because every occupation, whether it is a sport or any other job, has a set of guidelines and rules which people can learn and become master in it. Australian cricket team, for instance, selected two players in their team in 2015 who were deaf. They showed great performance and won many champion trophies because of rigorous training and development. This evidence supports that people can become talented regardless of in-born quality.

In conclusion, while many take the view that people are born with talent and it cannot be learned, I think that only few ones are inherited with natural talent. Everyone can become talented if a particular skill is taught.
