PLEASE CHECK THIS.

Which one of the following is correct and why?

How money works.
This is how money works.

My name is ABC. I live in the US and am studying English.
In the sentence written above, is it ok to ommit the pronoun "I" and continue the sentence with the helping verb "am".

Another sentence: Sorry, I'm late, have been busy in completing my assignments.

Please do check this one too.
