Please check these sentences for me.

I am doing the English exercises for preparing IELTS. There is the exercise to write a brief description of how these objects work. Does anyone can help me checking these sentences?
1. Kettle

This object mostly made of stainless steel. When water is filled in the housing through the opened cover, metal coiled wire at the bottom converts electricity to heat water up to the temperature as set before at the control panel.

2. Microwave oven
There are metal wires that can convert electricity to microwave at the both sides of this object. Food is put inside housing and has been rotated for the time as set at the control panel. The microwave emitted from metal wires will heat up or defrost the freezing food to be hot again.

3. Bicycle

This object has two wheels: the front and the rear wheel. The rear wheel can be moved forward by force against the pedals that move the chain attached to this wheel. The front wheel can be swung left and right in order to control this object to the desired direction.

4. Ballpoint pen

There is the plastic tube filled with the ink inside this object. The tip of this plastic tube is the metal cone with the little metal ball at the end of it. When this metal ball is pressed and moved against paper, the ink will be dispensed from the plastic tube to paper as the direction this object be moved.

5. Television

There is the electron gun at the back of this object. This electron gun converts the electricity to electron beams. When electron beams hit the screen coated with some chemical tiny receptors, electrons beams are changed to many colors due the intensity of them. The colors emitted from these receptors produce the picture on the screen.

6. Lightbulb

There is a very simple object mostly made of glass. When the tungsten wire inside the glass is heated to the proper temperature, it will release some heat in form of the light.

7. Computer

This object receives the data from user via keyboard and movable pointing device called 'mouse'. After that, the input data will send to the processing unit called 'CPU' and the processed data is output in form of picture on screen or sound.

8. Toaster

The sliced bread is places into the long slot. Each slot has metal wires with frame that can convert electricity to heat at both sides.

9. Car engine

The core of this object is a cylinder with pistons that can move up and down. When fuel is burnt in order to move the pistons up and down, the core will rotate according to the moment of the pistons.

There are answers which I think they are corrected,but I also feel unsure of these answers.
Some problem areas that I type in bold are problems that I cannot find the good solutions.(I have tried a lot) T T Please give me an advice,Mister Micawber.
