There are three basic types of conditional sentences The first type is ( Factual conditional sentences ) If you study, you will pass the exam If + Simple present , will / simple present Anonymous if you speak english, i'd be thankful Your sentence is most likely to be from this type, so it could be If you speak english, I will be thankful Which is a fact On the other hand, there are still other exceptions in which the three types of conditional sentence are used with other tenses.
