The map compares the lay out of the existing and proposed plan of a gallery.
It is clear that the temporary exhibition space will be demolished to make way for permanent one. There is also a completely new entrance and a new place for exhibitions.
At present, the entrance leads the visitors into the lobby before reaching the exhibition area. But in the plan, the entrance will be moved to the North of the gallery, directly opposite the Parkingson Court. The lobby and office are planned to be replaced by the educational area.
There is an extension of the permanent space in the new plan, at which point the temporary space are demolished. A brand new space for the exceptional exhibition is also redeveloped from a room, which is not a part of the gallery at the moment.
