Some people believe that universities should only provide courses that could help students increase their employment opportunity. However, in my opinion, freedom in choosing subjects is the most beneficial approach for learners to achieve job satisfaction later in life. This essay will discuss both views and strengthen my opinion.

On the one hand, there is a number of convinced reasons why students should choose their majors on the need of the job market. Firstly, studying a crucial subject will enhance their career prospects because there is a lot of jobs available for them after they graduate from college. These students are likely to earn more than their fellows therefore guarante that they will have a decent life. Secondly, It also solves the problem of shortage in the number of qualified workers in some countries. With the contribution of these individuals, countries would be able to foster their economic growth which in turn raises the living standard of their residents.

On the other hand, however, learning is a long process in which students will encounter obstacles and difficulty along the way that might make them want to give up. In these situations, the enthusiasm os following ones' interest will motivate thêm to try harder and help them find the solutions. In addition, pursuing dreams does not mean that they would make less money. Ng? Thu, a famous painter, and Ng?c Minh, a successful businessman, are typical examples for those who follow their passions and achieve success in life. Furthermore, with the unprecedented advancement of technology, it is hard to predict what job is important. A recent research show th?t super computers now can handle sophisticated calculations that one day will replace scientists in some fields and makes the proposed idea become irrelevant.

In conclusion, while it is important for students to choose their subjects because they will have a significant effect on individuals and societies, I am of the opinion that to have a successful and fulfilled life, students should follow their passions.
