Please check sentences
Hallo!
I am writing a past story as a narrative in the present tense.
The first part goes as follows:
"On 6 May, 1993, three eight year-old boys are found dead in a drainage ditch in West Memphis, Arkansas"
I need some advice on the second part, please. Is the following correct?
"The boys are naked and hogtied. All have been badly beaten. One boy's sexual organs are mutilated"
