Question

The table depicts four reasons for British adults joining arts events, such as desire for masterpieces, having a moment with their children, a memorial occasion or for bussiness over the period of 20 years.

Overall, although the percentage for accompanying children and work rose up gradually, the remaining reasons were on the opposite trend. It is also evident that while most of attendees looked for a taste of art, the reverse is true for those who regarded it as a job.

As regards the art-lovers, the proportion slightly dropped by 3% in 10 years ago before experienced a recovery in today’s time at 56%. With regard to the people wanting to have a meaningful celebration, the percentage plummeted by threefold at present compared to that in 2 decades ago at 27%.

Concerning the remaining features, the percentage of parents spending time with their offsprings at arts events accelerated by 15%, starting at 9% in 20 years ago. The people who took part in events also underwent the same trend, from 6% in the past 20 years to 11% at present.

The table depicts (wrong word. Use "depict" for diagrams, maps and other visuals.) four reasons (The table has percentage.) for British adults joining arts events, such as desire for masterpieces, (That means they want to own a famous picture.) having a moment (Most of these excursions take longer than a moment.) with their children, a memorial occasion or for bussiness ~~over the period of 20 year~~s. (That is not a good expression. "Over a 20-year period" implies continuous data. There is no continuous data in this table.)

Example description:

The table lists the percent of responses of British adults as to the reason that they go to arts events. There were four choices for the reason: to see a particular performer, to go with their children, to have a special celebration, or for business. Results were from three surveys, 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and recently.

Overall, although the percentage for accompanying children and work rose up (Delete this word) gradually, (The term gradually is for line graphs and perhaps time-series bar charts with a lot of time points.) the percentage of people giving one of the remaining reasons declined. ~~were on the opposite trend~~. ~~It is also evident that~~ (Those are useless words. This is the "main features paragraph") while most of attendees wanted to see a star performer l~~ooked for a taste of art~~, the reverse is true for those who regarded it as a job.(incorrect deduction or conclusion.. )

You missed one of the most important aspects of this data. Each column, adds up to 100%. That signifies that the responders could only pick one of the four reasons. It was not a multiple-choice questionnaire. So if the percentage of responses increased for one reason, it had to be offset by an equal decrease in the others. The words and phrases you use for a survey where more than one answer can be selected are different from those where there is only one answer.

Overall, in each survey, the majority of those asked went because of the attraction of a star performer or artist. If today's responses are compared with twenty years ago, the percent citing that they had planned a special celebration decreased, being offset by increases in accompaniment of children and going to a business function.
