The diagram illustrates how olive oil is produced. Overall, the process is mostly mechanical which includes two main stages: the treatments for the olive fruits and the process to form oil for sale.

The first stage starts when the season of the fruit comes, the people will pick the fruit that meets the requirements. The olive fruits then are rinsed in cold water before passing through a belt to a pressing machine.

In the machine, the fruits are smashed to form an olive paste, and left behind wastes called “olive stones”. Afterwards, the olive paste will be poured into a bag with holes outside. The bag is then pressed prior to being separated. The separation uses a specific machine that splits olive paste into oil and water. The olive oil is finally stored and put on sell
