Since my aunt is practicing for the IELTS too so she asked me if I could post her writing her so that she could improve her skill. Here is her respond for the question below, please have a look and give some comments, thank you.

Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

People are likely to have many choices in this modern life. While some people agree that, I would argue that people do not have various optional selections in some particular circumstances.

To begin with, human being in physical and mental life have numerous choices to make their life easier and more convenient. Firstly, the development of society generates many kind of products which bring for people a better life. There is a plenty of choices for a goods, which has same value and equivalent specification which may be manufactured in one or multi nations. For example, you can choose to buy an iPhone being made in the US or many Android cell phones being produced by Samsung or in other countries. Hereby, the decision of choice may be made based on the reputation and value of brand, but the function of goods is same. Secondly, the world becomes flatter when the Internet is developing in every society’s smallest corner, which helps the mental products such as movie or music spread out over the world. Apparently, people just need to turn the Netflix on, they can watch a hundreds of movie products or musical events happening in different countries.

However, I believe that in some special cases, people do not have multiple choices. First, people do not have many choices for things related to their inner value, or personality or they are even unable to choose their dream. There are not an optional list of choosing for people while the only one thing they can do is to choose to be a good or bad person, to make or not make dream come true, or to be a singer which appropriate for a man instead of being a bureau officer. Second, people are unable to choose the thing that they cannot interfere, for instant, the country that people want to live. This would happen to people who are holding powerless passports such as Vietnamese passport. Vietnamese are not easy to move and immigrate in America, as the way that American people come and live here.

In conclusion, I do believe that human being have multiple choices in this modern society, but I also suppose that there are not many selections for people in various and special events.
