Without a doubt, people are always wondering whether they should get higher education or get a job right after graduating from high school. While a school of thought holds that continuing to study at university or college offers the best opportunities to experience a successful career, I am of the opinion that looking for a job will guarantee a successful career.

It is understandable why some people support that pursuing higher education is the best way to prepare for career path. The key rationale in favor of this view is that going to university can help young people lay a good foundation for the life ahead of them. Specifically, the curriculum at university helps youngsters to learn practical skills related to their chosen profession. Therefore they will get excellent degrees to attract recruiters. Moreover, studying at university gives them abundant opportunities to build strong relationships, especially with professors or predecessors.

Nevertheless, I am convinced that this line of thinking is only true in people whose family has financial conditions and otherwise, seems unapt for people with no financial capacity. With poor families, the parents couldn’t afford for the children to study higher, so having a stable income is an essential requirement. For instance, those can live independently on their own income without asking for financial support from their parents for the reason that they are able to earn money by themselves to meet basic human needs.

In conclusion, while there are sufficient justifications to solidify the importance of getting higher education, I would contend that seeking for a job after leaving high school is far more significant.
