The conference center in the past had a garden on the east side, next to the area for parking. The other garden occupied the largest space, situated in the west corner of the building with the reception area and a room on the north side. In the northwest corner, there was a room and a hall adjacent to each other.

The central will not have any modifications, but there will be extensive facilities for recreational and work purposes available on the north side of the conference center. The garden on the east side will be devastated to make way for a parking area, while a twenty-room residence hall will dominate the northeast corner.

This is not good. You did not give the dates of the maps. That is a very important piece of information to report.

The two diagrams compare the layouts of a conference center in 2010 and after a major redevelopment in 2025.

Another garden occupied the largest space, situated in the southwest corner of the building with the reception area and a room (I see two rooms and a hall. Your description is quite confusing. ) on the north side. In the northwest corner, there was a room and a hall adjacent to each other.

The central (Central is an adjective. You need to place a noun after it.) will not have any modifications, but there will be extensive facilities for recreational and work purposes (I do not see this on the map.) available on the north side of the conference center. The garden on the east side will be devastated (wrong word - Devastated is an emotion, meaning extremely saddened by bad news.) to make way for a parking area, while a twenty-room residence hall will dominate the northeast corner.
