Topic: The graph below shows UK acid rain emissions, measured in millions of tones, from four different sectors between 1990 and 2007.

The line chart depicts the emission of acid precipitation over a period of 16 years in four different sectors in the UK. Overall, a much larger number of electricity, gas and water provision released acid rain emissions in comparison with three remaining sectors, and domestic experienced the slowest number of emission.

In 1991, the number of electricity, gas and water provision released acid precipitation emission started at 3.3 million tones, followed by other industries with 2.1 million tones. The figure for transportation and communication and domestic were quite similar at 0.7 million tones and 0.6 million tones, respectively.

The emission from electricity, gas and water provision seen a significant drop by 2.5 million tones while transportation and communication was the only sector increased gradually until it had the same figure with electricity, gas and water provision at 0.8 in 2003 before reaching a peak at 1 million tones in 2005. The quantity of acid precipitation emission from domestic and other industries deceased gradually during the whole of the period.
