The line graph illustrates information about the percentages of 4 kinds of technological devices including CD player, Mobile phone, Home computer and Internet access in home in the UK during 15 years between 1996 and 2003. Overall, there were significant upward trends in the number of 4 different devices.
It is obviously true that CD player was the dominant device throughout this period. It started with 60 percent in 1996/97, rising gradually over 15 year and reached roughly 82 percent in 2002/03. The uses of Home computer showed a similar pattern, it made up about 22 percent in 1996/97 and were 58 percent after 15 years. In contrast, Internet access witnessed a remarkable growth even it was the least popular device. Starting at just approximately 10 percent in 1998/99, it rocketed 4 times to above 40 percent in 2003/03 but its percentage still remained forth position over one and a half decade. Interestingly, Mobile phone fluctuated dramatically but the main trend was noticeably upwards. This led it to move from third position in 1996/97 to second position at the end of the period.
