Men and women employed in full-time jobs should share the responsibilities of household chores.

Do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, not only men but also women have full-time jobs to support their family’s finance. Therefore, it is believed that housework should be shared equally between the partners. I strongly agree with this point of view because of some advantages that will be covered in this essay.

In my opinion, sharing household chores can reduce stresses and pressures on females. Not only do they have to work all day in the office but also do most of the housework at home, which will put them under a lot of pressure. Thus, it is advisable that males should share the housework to make their wives feel more comfortable and fulfill their family’s responsibility. For example, husbands can mow lawn, feed the pets or take out trash.

Moreover, when partners split the household chores, they can set a good example for their children. Children will learn to care more about others and share work with them. Also, splitting the housework can strengthen the bond between the couple. Wives will be happy and feel that they are well-respected by their husbands. Thus, their marriage will be happier and more durable. For example, after meals, while wives do the washing dishes, husbands can do the cleaning.

In conclusion, sharing the housework has numerous advantages. It not only decrease the stresses and pressures on wives but also set a good example for their children and develop family relationships. Because of these benefits, I strongly propose that household chores should be shared between men and women.
