The maps depict an area of Stokeford in the years 1930 and 2010 and the urban developments that took place. Overall, there were a number of notable changes to the residential and agricultural land of this area.
In 1930, a minority of houses at the main street with two shops between them, but by 2010, a lot of ones had been built along this main street and the new residential area in the South of this map. Whereas in 19030, the land for agricultural purposes was very large and spacious which was located both North and South directions, by 2010 these land had disappeared completely.
Another major change to this area is that having a primary school opposite the post office in 1930 became larger in size with two buildings on two sides. The demolition of gardens made room for expansion of two buildings of retirement houses in 2010.
To sum up, the area was renovated extensively, seeing fundamental changes to its residential accommodation and the disappearance of its agricultural and recreational facilities.
