Society is an explosion and developing during the 4.0 evolution, people have many aspects to focus on and control to balance their own life and their professional life. Risk and successes are always parallel and appear in both lives mentioned above. In my viewpoint, although the acceptable risk may harm in short term it will create more new opportunities in the long future and I believe these advantages outweigh any potential disadvantages.

To begin with, making a risk may bring harm directly to a person in short term. In career life or a relationship with family, there is can not have perfect happy aspects and sometimes people need to decide on a risky decision that makes a broken relationship or loss in their career. For instance, adults tend to decide their life and chose their favorite major instead of the study major that their parents like. This action leads to the loss of financial support from their family. However, I think the downside of this short-term will should not be seen as a major disadvantage in life because it can pay off greatly in the future.

On the positive side, taking risk bring bigger advantages than disadvantages in the long term. For instance, if Mark still stayed and studied at Harvard instead of focusing on developing Facebook, he could become an office man now instead of becoming the world's biggest giant man. People take risks to follow their dream or want more comfort in their life, so in the long future, with effort and belief, the results they get could be worth it.
In conclusion, even though making risky steps has several downsides, I reckon that the advantages risks bring to people in long term are worth to try.
