The bar chart illustrates the proportion of females persuading higher education across five countries (UK, USA, Australia, South Korea, France) in the years 1980 and 2015. Units are given in percentage.

Generally speaking, the numbers of women persuading higher education showed a positive rise, with an exception for Australia, where the figure stagnated over the years.

Looking specifically at the year 1980, Australia had the highest ratio of women enrolling in higher education. The second close was France, with 50% of female students deciding to continue their learning path. In contrast, 15% of South Korean women chose not to participate in higher courses, which was the lowest.

With regard to the year 2015, four out of five countries showed a positive rise in the percentage of female students persuading higher education. The USA and Australia were the top countries with the highest ratio, both were at almost 60%. As can be seen, the figure of Australia had not changed since 1980. After all, South Korea remained as the country with the minutest number of women persuading higher education.
