On my birthday last year, I was planning on just celebrating it by myself. However, that night turned out to be great than I expected. It was cold that day. Every year on my birthday, my parents always organize a small party for me with a lot of my friends. However, last year I went to university and was away from home so my parents could only video call to celebrate my birthday. I don't have many friends here, and I don't think people remember my birthday. So I feel quite lonely and self-pity. I thought I was alone for my birthday that year, but I still decided to make a small party for myself.

I went shopping and bought myself a dress that I really like but I still didn't dare to buy it before. On the way back home, I stopped by a store and bought a small birthday cake decorated with beautiful strawberries. It was already 7pm, and I was about to open the door to enter the house. Suddenly, I got a call from Katy - my tablemate. She asked me to go to the park near my house to pick her up because she suddenly had a car breakdown. I was a bit hesitant but in the end decided to come drive her home.

I went to the park, everything was pretty quiet. Then, the light bulb suddenly turned on. I barely heard a "Boom" sound and a fireworks display started. After that, the happy birthday song and applause resounded. I froze and looked around. What a surprise ! My friends are here with lots of sweets, flowers, soft drinks, fruits and lovely gifts . It turned out that my friends secretly gave me a very big birthday party. Until then I couldn't believe my eyes. I rushed to hug my friends and burst into tears. I thought they couldn't remember my birthday. I felt very touched and happy. After that we spent a wonderful night out together. Everyone congratulated me and gave me lovely gifts. We sang and danced together. We even sat down and talked. Thanks to that, we understand and get closer to each other.

It is an unforgettable memory of me. I told my parents this and they are also very happy that I have great friends. I've also realized that I still have a lot of friends and I'm not alone away from home.
