In my previous job, I worked as a steward for Aston Villa Football Club, where I needed to work in a team to ensure the safety of the spectators. There were two main teams, one team was responsible for the safety of spectators inside the stadium, and other team was responsible for the safety of spectators outside the stadium. I was chosen to be in the outside team. My team purpose was to ensure that spectators had the right tickets, and no spectators were carrying any items which were against Aston Villa’s policy, this included weapons and illegal substances.

My role was to work within a group to check each spectator’s bag, to ensure they were not carrying anything which is against Football Club’s policy, while the other stewards where checking the spectators’ tickets.

My role was critical because I ensured that no spectators carried anything which could potentially harm other spectators. This meant the fans were able to watch the game in comfort and safety.

Whilst working as a Steward at Aston Villa, a spectator in a wheelchair came to me. He wanted to go to the disable toilet. However, the disable toilets were closed. There was another disable toilet opposite the stadium. I let my supervisor know that I will be assisting this man. I helped him by ensuring his journey was safe to the disable toilet and I helped him back. This was excellent customer service because it wasn’t my job; however, I wanted to help him.

Aldi opened its first store nearly 100 years ago in Germany and now it is global brand with over 10,000 stores. This shows the immense growth of Aldi. Aldi is a brand that takes care of its customer, by ensuring customers gets the highest quality product at very low prices.

I would like to work with Aldi’s because Aldi’s has some of the most satisfactory customer service and skilled employees and I would like to be part of the team which deliver great customer experience.

I like the role, Store Assistant, because I like to work with the public because I like to help them out and deliver great customer service. Also, I get to work in a team environment. I always wanted to work with hard-working, professional, experienced people.
