Please check my task: Writing Task 2: Some people believe that sport is essential part of school life for children, while others feel it should be purely optional. Discuss these opposing views and give your own opinion

It is widely believed that sports play an important role in the school life of pupils and students. While some people argue that it is merely elective for students to play sport, I believe that sport should have a big part at schools.

On the one hand the argument that sports should be optional is reasonable to some extent. Not all students have an interest or talent in sporty exercises so it is irritated for them to be forced to take part in, which may be counterproductive. Moreover, there are various options that are appropriate for each type of student at classrooms. For example pupils can just go around the yard to talk with classmates or go to the library or even play instruments or sing favorite songs.

On the other hand, there are some main reasons why I believe that we should include sports at students’ school life. Firstly, playing sports is beneficial for both their physical and mental health. For instance, playing soccer or badminton during break time is a way to relax and refresh energy for the next lessons. Secondly, the time students spend for sports is the valuable opportunity to enhance a sense of belonging and form friendships because they will have much mutual interest and we talk openly and interestingly about that.

All in all. while considering sports as being optional is reasonable, I maintain that it is more beneficial to take part in sports at schools. It is advisable that students should actively join activities at the classrooms, including playing sports.
