The diagrams illustrate how many hours children spend with their parents according to age groups.
Overall, On weekdays children spend more time with their mothers than their fathers. At weekends, however, they spend most of their time with both parents and this time is higher than during the week.
On weekdays, children up to 2 years old and children aged 8-9 typically spend around 6 hours with their mothers and 2 hours with just their fathers each day. In contrast, children of the other ages are with their mothers for 5,5 hours and spend about 1-1,5 hours with their fathers per day. While children up to 2 years old spend 2 hours daily with both parents, this figure then falls by about half.
At weekends, on the other hand, children up to 2 years old are with both parents for more than 4 hours daily while for older age groups, it increases to over 5 hours. The time spent with their mothers is slightly less, at around 4 hours per day for all ages. Moreover, the time spent with their fathers is only at 1 hour per day or less.
