Overall, it appears that both places have a considerable expansion in size and they are equipped with much more modern facilities. Also, it is noticeable that Meadowside and Fonton have merged with each other at the present time though completely separated in the past.
In 1962, Meadowside village’s area was just about one-third of Fonton’s. Also, while the smaller place was situated on the left-hand of the map, Fonton was located in the opposite direction. It should also be noted that there was only one small road across each region.
By 1985, there were many significant changes in Meadowside and Fonton regarding infrastructure and transport system. Specifically, Meadowside village tripled its size with the appearance of a housing state and a super store to the west as well as a leisure complex in the northeast, wheareas Fonton was just slightly expanded. Also, in Meadowside, the small road was converted into a main way and it was extended to the east, becoming the only way connecting the two regions.
Currently, Meadowside village has now become a suburb as the land of Meadowside and Fonton has joined with each other. Moreover, a station has been erected in the middle of the area, behind which to the north is a hotel. There is also a business park lying opposite the station in the south.
