Another reason is that technologies has made life easier for disabled people. A couple decades ago people thought that invalid persons are doomed to impoverished existence and lack of capacity but now everything has changed, scientists created an artificial devices such as arms, legs, ears and even eyes for them. For instance, when I studied at university, I had a friend of mine who was a really nice and energetic person but one day his mom called me and said that Jonathan met with a terrible car accident and lost his arm, moreover, he narrowly cheated death. After a time, due to this disability, he couldn’t normally live anymore, he was complaining that he couldn’t eat, do physical activities, and write. So his parents decided to buy their son an artificial arm and his life totally has changed with it: he wasn’t no longer disabled man, he turned over a new leaf. He could eat with no help, could go to gym and do all activities which were impossible without prosthesis. My friend started to live happily as he used to. This experience taught me that technologies make people happier.
