MOTIVATION LETTER

I would like to express my desire to study at the ****** University, starting in summer term 2011 and to explicit my great interest in applying for the Master's Program in International Business Administration.

I am a postgraduate student from with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies at the **** University of Information Technologies. My main subjects in the University were Computer Science and Programming. The reasons for opting Information Technologies as my major are, I was good at Mathematics and sciences from my schooling and was interested in computing and working in Web as well.

But, during my study in the University I took a keen interest in the sphere of International Business Administration. Therefore, in the sequel I tried to focus all my activities on studying Marketing, Management and International Business. In the year 2008, when I got the chance to work in the marketing agency I found out, that this was the kind of career I would aspire to after my apprenticeship. To research the market and develop products that meet the desires of the customers, fascinated me from then on. I realized that I wanted to gain more knowledge in this field and in the period between March-August, 2009 I embraced the opportunity to do an internship in the marketing department of the *****company. During this time, I have been involved mainly in ******** projects, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in business ethics, corporate social responsibility and have increased my interest and my analytical skills in the field of Marketing and Brand Management. Besides that, I enjoy change and am able to assimilate quickly in new pursuit. Thus, while studying in the University, I took the opportunity to participate in the projects of UNDP. I was a volunteer of ICTP (Information and communication technologies policy) relating to UN. Through this organization I learned how to organize seminars, congresses, how to conduct discussion forums and presentations. I suppose that this experience is extremely valuable for me as it allowed improving such skills as self-discipline, dexterity and leadership skills. Soon after, I was on a hunt for a job at the multinational company, which could unite all my gained knowledge together and become a source of learning for me in my professional career. I was fortunate enough to be appointed as Marketing Assistant in the international brewing company ****** in April 2010. After more than three months of work experience I was promoted as Purchasing Specialist of Marketing Department, as I am working to date. At present, my overall work experience in the sphere of international marketing and management is more than 2 years and from year to year I’m feeling that my interest in this sphere is increasing more and more.



Therefore I feel very motivated for obtaining the appropriate education and upgrading my skills. I believe that my knowledge in Business Administration combined with my work experience will fulfill your requirements. I spoke to my professors, seniors and friends about my choice of University, and have applied the ***** because it is reputable for its research facilities and educational resources. I am looking forward to the opportunity to study at your institution and immerse myself in my studies and the German culture and language thereby increasing my cultural awareness. I am absolutely confident that the Master’s Program in International Business Administration, offered by ***** will provide me the knowledge, rewarding experience and contacts to realize my dreams.
