Ten months in Dalian, China changed my view of the world and of my future. Since my return last summer I`m now sure that the Chinese training programme at the *****University is the right choice for me. The entire fifth year of (my University), I studied at ****** University, an exchange program of foreign students from my university. From the 1st day, I realized that Chinese is what I need. This is my future. An interesting system of teaching, competent presentation of the material, excellent teachers, daily communication with different people, and without communication, I can not imagine my life; also acquaintance with the traditions, holidays, participation in a Chinese choir (I participated three times and have aired on TV ,it was also a competition among other schools), Chinese cuisine (especially spicy manthou and chicken hearts), all this made me deeply impressed. China, indeed, will play a leading role in shaping the future of our global society. As such, it is imperative that more people, particularly *********ns, learn about one of the Earth’s greatest ancient and modern civilizations. I decided to turn my sights to a country and culture which I felt needed more understanding and attention: China. Tnat is why I have decided to take advantage of student exchange, and after studying in China, I made the most important decision regarding my future career - I will be teaching the Chinese language. I found myself. Before, I did focus only on English (vocabulary participate in the project «Macmillan» dictionary , 3-week practice at school, etc.), and now I realize how much I lost, not paying much attention to the Chinese, much as I want now. When I returned to(me country), I passed the winter and summer session (all exams have been extended because during their official passing I was in China). Then I took part in competition of the Chinese language, (we found out that it is likely cancel an internship in China at our university for the next group of guys, then gathered everyone (including me) to show the rector of our university, the importance and interesting for us of learning the Chinese language, and thus prevent the cancellation. We did it. Everybody was incredibly happy. I performed with a presentation "Education in China", which took the 1st place. Then the final examinations, and finally brilliantly defended the diploma , theme of " Chinese written language." Written in Chinese. Defense was in English. The fact that in our university diploma works are written only in English, I managed to convince the Deanery to let me white it in Mandarin and that it will be the most valuable experience for me in learning Chinese language, and they walked toward me. In the future, I plan to teach Chinese language and want to become a professional in this field. Once again, my intentions were confirmed after the practice of teaching students to this an exotic language. So interesting and pleasant to work in area of education, especially when there is a mutual return of students. I taught English, too, I can say that China's complicated, but that it is one of the reasons why it is so interesting to me. There is no good / bad, light / complex languages, I think everything depends entirely on teaching. My main objective for coming to China is to become proficient in Mandarin. I wish to develop my knowledge and skills in this area in order to become a good Chinese teacher. However, my country has not taken such a great step in education.I want to contribute to the development of this field,to change the situation and to be extremely beneficial for my country.
In conclusion I would like to say that I like to take responsibility ,I am self-disciplined and highly motivated to achieve my goals. I have very high expectations of myself and do not accept failure.I am eager to gain new experiences and in my opinion this program is the best way to achieve that. I know that upon returning to my country to become a good Chinese teacher, that I can positively represent China as a graduate of its higher education system. I am positive that the University of ********would be an excellent start for an ambitious teaching career. I thank you for your consideration, and I am looking forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,
