Letter Writing

please check my letter :)

"To Whom It May Concern:

First of all we would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this letter as well as reviewing all of the paperwork attached in this packet. This is a very difficult moment for our family and we hope you will consider working with us.

Here is a brief summary of our difficult economic situation. When the housing market collapsed, the business where I (Larry) worked at also did. After 2007 my income began to decline and our house mortgage payment started to increase. At the time, the company where I (Larry) worked at was letting almost all of their employees go. At the beginning of 2010 the owners of the company decided to close the business and I was unemployed for about a month. Later on, the owners called me back offering me the opportunity to buy the business from them. This was a really tough decision for my family since we had no money to take over the business. We felt like we were between a rock and a hard place with no way out. Finally after careful consideration, we took over the business in May 2010. This was possible because the previous owners were very considerate and arranged a payment plan to help us pay for the business. It was really hard for us to keep up with the payments as well as the other business expenses because it was not (and still is not) a good time for this kind of business. We have been able to survive because we have been operating the business ourselves with very little help from additional employees. Also, since we have no economic backup (such as savings), there has been many months we have had to use our personal credit cards to keep the business going. This is the reason why some of our credit cards have a high balance. At times when credit cards were not an option we have had to ask friends for loans. Until this day our income as a family is very unstable and as you probably know the constant increase in the cost of living does not make it any easier.

It is really important to us to be able to keep our home. We hope that you will consider our situation and do everything that is in your hands to reach an agreement that is beneficial to both of us. We deeply appreciate your time and help.

Sincerely,

Larry Somebody
