Please check my ielts writting task 2!

Topic: Some people think that schools should stop teaching students by using books, because students find them boring and that children can learn from films, TV, video games and computer instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is generally acknowledged that technology has presented in every walks of life, including education. The question as to whether traditional books can be replaced by other forms which are more favorable for children in institutes remained controversial. As far as I concerned, books has always accompanied generations since the very early evolution of human in just about any aspects, therefore we should merit and appreciate them as much as we care for our children well-being.

Firstly, even though movies and books indicate the same story and message the same meaning, there is still a vague boundary between them that a person can only realize when he or she reads much. Films and moving pictures in general vividly illustrates the actual pictures along the story, which can be observed easily, and all the audiences need to do is watch and receive information. Besides, images and characters are designed adorably to draw attention from these little audiences. In contrast, books don’t offer any tangible images, instead, they administer spaces for readers to imagine themselves. Or it can be said another way, authors are the creators, but the audiences also play an active role to comprehend and picture the subjects. Many may argue that this is out-of-bounds for pupils and takes a long time to absorb the beauty of reading, however, no one is born with the ability to read or do any specific chores, skills are formed by practicing, so why don’t we constitute such a necessary hobby for our children?

Another reason for keeping on the traditional teaching methods with books is showed as students attend higher education systems, include high schools, colleges, universities. One of many advantages of movies and games in study may also be its drawback. Because the filmmakers set restrictions for the timing and the amount of information in a movie or a video clip, they usually summarize knowledge and overlook details. While writers try to demonstrate the knowledge fill fully, and also, the same topic can be repeated and developed by many books to give the readers an overview and details of that problem. Therefore, books are indispensable tools for students to do profound research in tertiary programs.

In short, we can rest assured that books would and should not be replaced by some novel electronic devices. The fact remains that different types of media complement rather than replace each other. There is every possibility that books will remain and improve as time goes by.
