Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Answer:

Some people believe that teaching children to be great members in social community is their parents’ responsibilities, while others think school is the better place to teach them. This essay agree with both views and will discuss them.

It is clear that parents are people who should teach their children to become good parts of society. Parents are people who raise up their children, spend a long time with their children from they were born to take care of them. Therefore, they understand their children most and it is easier when parents explain and talk to their children. Moreover, children will suffer influences in personalities from their parents’ behaviors because children usually imitate others’ actions. Thus, parents have important roles in developing children’s personalities and behaviors in community.

On the other hands, many people think it is better if children are taught to be good members of community in classes. Going to school may be the first experience for children to live in a community without the help directly from parents. Many new and different situation happen in school life and children have to cope with that before they truly come to real big society. Children will learn a lot of things which do not appear when they are living in the protection of their parents. For example, children will learn about legal fundamentals, help them know which activities will harm the society and they should avoid them.

In conclusion, parents and schools take the role to educate children to become good residents in society because parents understand and close to their children best while schools bring real experiences for children how to live in a community.
