Theseday, the media plays an important role in our lives. Regarding opinion, the news is usually based on a personal perspective, but most people advocate that news must be facts. In my personal view, not all news on social media is true. In this essay, I will elaborate my opinion, give details about the advantage of newspapers and suggest the way to censor the reliable news

To begin with, any news organization's primary goal is to expose the truth and bring reality to the public's attention. However, with the development of social media, there are lots of untrustworthy sources and fake news. To be more specific, the media tycoon will regularly exaggerate the facts of the products or information for advertising and capturing wide audience purposes. During lockdown time, lots of tabloids give sensational news about the COVID-19 cases, which makes the residents feel hysterical and worried.

Focusing on the function of newspapers, which consists of two main advantages. Firstly, the press is responsible for updating and delivering hot news to its audience. The newspaper will inform the public about the events that are around them and may affect them. For example, the sports newspaper provides news about the football player or the competition in the world such as World Cup 2022 in Qatar, moreover, the government can use newspapers for improving the awareness of the spreading of malicious content like scams and malware.

Despite the fact that there is numerous false information, deliberately usually for commercial purposes, people can use some measures to solve these problems. First of all, individuals should check the date and the author of the news. In addition, people can use website checkers for validating information such as Ionos and Sitechecker.

In conclusion, newspapers are under fire from those who accuse them of being subjective rather than objective. Given that only a small percentage of news is accurate, the press must embrace its role as a socially responsible source of information for the public.
