From a brief inspection, while there are an increase in the number of USA and UK residents reusing their trash, that of Japan and Singapore declined slightly. Contrary to them, German inhabitants did not often recycle their garbage, and its number was the lowest of the five countries.
With respect to UK and USA recycling's habit, despite similarly upward trends through which they went, the number for the former was always higher than that of the latter. The last statistics indicated that the percentage of UK people recycling their rubbish was 32 percent, nearly doubled USA.
By contrast, Japan and Singapore witnessed a decrease in the number of people in habit of recycling. One in twelve Japanese recycled their trash in 1992, and the number fell by 5 percent in 2004. Interestingly, the figure for Singapore was only a half Japan during a period of 12 years.
Germany experienced no change in its number of dwellers reusing their waste, with 5 percent during the time frame.
