Topic: Pop stars earn much more than classical music performers. Some people think this is fully justified while others think it is unfair. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is widely believed that pop stars are paid much more money than classical music performers. The following paragraphs will analyze both viewpoints on this statement.

On the one hand, it is reasonable when pop celebrities gain more money than those in classical fields. This is because most of their income is mainly from their fans' support. Since pop music often appeals to young people more than classical ones, who may always be ready to purchase music products they like, even if they are sometimes expensive, celebrities can take advantage of this action and earn more money. Therefore, they can compose some catchy songs and make them famous by utilizing social media nowadays in order to draw the attention of the listener and make them become fans, so that these supporters can pay money for pop stars’ albums and other products, which will gain a huge amount of money and sometimes even surpass the classical music performers’ income.

On the other hand, there are some reasons why some people believe that it is unfair when pop singers earn more money than those focusing on the classical genres. Firstly, it takes a lot of effort, time, and money for classical music performers to have an opportunity to play songs on stage. In other words, they have to undergo many years of intensive training from their childhood in order to become proficient at playing their classic instruments. Thus, they deserve to be paid higher or, at the very least, on equal footing with contemporary mainstream singers.

In conclusion, although both sides have their own merits, it seems to me that classical music performers should have a higher income than pop artists considering their hard work.
