Question: Many schools nowadays use more computers to facilitate learning process. To what extent do you think this is a positive trend?
As can be seen, a large number of schools are currently applying advanced technology equipment in teaching in order to improve academic process. I strongly agree that this is a positive trend for both teachers and students.
First and foremost, computers have make it easier for teachers to impart knowledge to students. Computers offer utility software such as Microsoft word, PowerPoint and other applications for teachers to make several fascinating presentations for the lessons which will help students stay focused and get excited about what they are learning. Moreover, teachers can also create some amusing games or quizzes on websites that assist students in reviewing as well as memorising their lessons better. Besides, teachers also use computers to record grades, manage attendance and access data on student performance in online programs. As a result, their academic performance will be significantly improved.
Second, computers create more opportunities for students to access to the latest information that are beneficial to the lessons. Internet provides them with a wealth of useful data and resources in many fields. Therefore, students can have better preparation as well as self-study to have a deeper understanding of the lessons. Furthermore, they can use educational software which aid in studying to promote their learning performance easily and effectively. This will probably encourage their independent learning and information searching skills. As a consequence, educational process will be advanced and students can get higher academic results.
In conclusion, while the rapid development of technology makes learning easier, I consider it to be a positive development overall.
