Both of these letters are understandable but could do with a little tidying up.

I think what you meant was 'I've remembered my promise to have you and some friends over while my parents are at work.' Xenon's sentence was more gramatical but it makes it sound as though it is a secret telephone call while the parents are out, rather than suggesting a visit for when they are out.
