Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city are clear that the two most famous cities in Vietnam. There is close bond between them in various factors. This report is going to illustrate some information and also gives several comparisions.
First of all, it is known that both cities have giant square, at approximately 8 million and 7,1 million respectively. In general, Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and it is in Northern, whereas Ho Chi Minh city is in the South. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh city is rumoured that it is more multicaltural than Hanoi. Some research indicates that the proportion of ethnic Vietnamese is 93,5%. It also contains a tiny group of chinese and other ethinicities, at 5,8% and 0,7% respectively. Compare with Hanoi, it is nealy all ethnic Vietnamese.
On the other hand, it is evident that Ho Chi Minh city is hotter than Hanoi. Obviously, it has only rainy season and dry season, the same as Hanoi. Next, the average temperature in both cities is different. While the temperature in Ho Chi Minh city fluctuates from 21oC to 34oC, it is erratics from 13oC to 33oC in Ha Noi. Furthermore, both cities have quite similar climate. It is warm and humid in Hanoi, and hot and humid in Ho Chi Minh city. In rany season, the average rainfall in both cities soars significantly, at 1430mm in Hanoi and 1687mm in Ho Chi Minh city.
There are many differences between both cities in economy. Firstly, Ho Chi Minh city accupies a fifth of Vietnam's GDP, whereas it is only 13% in Hanoi. Moereover, the percentage of economic structure in both cities is distinct. The information depicts that the percentage in service in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city is very similar, at 52% and 51% respectively. Industry had construction also take a large proportion in Hanoi(41%) and Ho Chi Minh city(48%), while others just have a petite piece. Finally, not only does Hanoi have technology and textiles, the same as Ho Chi Minh city, but also has agricultural production as key industries.
