Topic :The media should include more stories which report good news. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The thriving development of media during the last century triggers a growing number of controversial debates as to whether it provides reliable source of information or not. As a result, some individuals are of the opinion that media coverage of information should be enhanced in order to form trustworthy news. In my way of thinking, I entirely agree with this viewpoint and take many downsides in consideration.

To start with, it is a common sight that media usually distorts the truth of stories to court media publicity. Admittedly, public attention dives profit to media's companies; however, people fall victim to this problems. For instance, medical products which directly influences on public health is usually being exaggerated by media as a marketing strategy. Nevertheless, it is hazardous for individual to use medicines without doctors' advice, which would cause the side effects on body such as allergy.

On the individual level, there are many concerns over public figures which are misused by some media organizations to draw public attention. Consequently, many celebrities are disregarded due to untruth stories that invade their privacy. As serious the problem sounds, famous people sometimes cannot overcome predicaments as they suffer pressure of net citizens which adversely affected their career prospects. For instance, the soaring incidence of suicide idols is observed, especially in Korea, which experiences many brutal criticizes of net citizens.

In conclusion, mass media is integral to people lifestyle in recent years in terms of providing comprehensive coverage of worldwide information. However, its detriments should be reduced by the authorities'supervision to shape a properly-functioning society.
