Topic :In many countries, prison is the common solution to the problem of crime. However, another effective way is to provide people with better education so that they will not become criminals. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

A dramatic uprising of criminal rate in recent years has trigger a controversial debate, which considers the proper measure to tackle with this problem. It is argued that jail term is the prevalent solution for crimes. However, another school of thought believes that the concerns over education are indeed more important. In my way of thinking, I agree that the educational contribution will take more advantages over decreasing the incidence of crime.

To start with, a growing number of convicts is a complex interplay of many factors; however, the education plays a pivotal role in this issue since the illiteracy is considered as the main cause. Admittedly, the illiterate rate contributes to the increase of unemployed population, who have no source of income. Therefore, Crime comes into existence as the demand for their expenses. According to this point, the effective way to resolve this problem is organizing more illiteracy eradication programs which heightens the public awareness and gives potential advantages for unemployed inhabitants to engage in labor market.

Meanwhile, it is a common sight that the wide-range education offers not only the fundamental knowledge but also psychological field. Evidently, the profound understanding of crime-related problems is associated with mental aspects as criminals are entirely self-contained and lose their control of thinking. As for educational environment, people are exposed to the community which promotes sharing and seeks out their empathy peers.

Put it in a nutshell, education is integral to the prevention of criminal rate since it has a huge impact on phasing out illiteracy and support the spiritual life.
