A glance at the chart reveals the percentages of young boys and young girls in Australia who participate in five leisure activities. Generally, we can say that boys are more likely to take part in entertaining activities than girls.

It is evident from the chart that physical activities are less popular in comparison to non-physical activities for both sexes. To begin with, skateboarding is enjoyed by 40% of the boys but only 30% of the girls. This physical activity is also the lowest proportion among all activities for girls. In contrast, girls devoted as much as 60% of their time to biking and computer games, while boys devoted 70% and 80% of their time to these activities, respectively. Most noticeably, the arts and handmade products saw a marked increase in the girls compared with the boys. These are devoted at a higher rate by the girls, estimated to be around 15%, than by the boys.

It is interesting to notice that all the boys as well as the girls are addicted to TV shows and movies. This trend has reached an absolute high of 100 percent.
