Topic: In some countries it si advisable that children begin formal education at four years old, while in others they do not have to start school until they are seven or eight. How far do you agree with either of these views?

This action reduces the pressure of parents on child-care. Children at that age still often can not eat or work on personal hygiene themselves. Formal education is certainly essential for children. However, people are wondering that whether children should go to school since they were four years old or when they are seven or eight. From my perspective, starting formal education sooner would be more optimal because of several benefits on shortening the adaption process to the academic environment, achieving basic knowledge and reducing parents’ pressure of childcare.

Beginning formal education at four years old is ideal to get used to schools and teaching evironment since it is a complicated and time consuming process. Going straight to primary schools might be stressful for children as they are not familiar with real learning activities such as doing homework or focusing on lessons. Children should start with nursery schools and kindergarten. They can make friends and and obtain simple manners such as calling teachers formally or sharing toys with others. Children learn to become active through interactions with friends who are at the same age.

Attending some formal classes at four years old is considered to be helpful for children. They can learn basic knowledge such as spelling or the alphabet while having fun with friends. Teaching them when children are seven or eight years old would be too late. They should know to read and understand basic notifications on some household products as well as their parent names and phone numbers. Nursery schools and kingdergartens are not only playgrounds but also places to obtain information.

Parents always have to stay by their sides and look after them in case they ask for help. It affects the working sufficiency of employees since they could not focus on their duties. It causes lateness in meeting dealines or submit assignments. Sending children to schools gives parents more time for work and selfcare.

In conclusion, four years old would be the best time for children to start formal education. Going to school soon helps them become familiar with the teaching environment. They have a chance to make friends and learning some necessary skills. Parents can also focus on their work with less stress on taking care of children.
