The only way to improve the safety of our roads is to give much stricter punishments on driving offenses. What extent do you agree or disagree?

Some individuals suppose that imposing tough penalties on those who driving dangerously or carelessly to tighten roads safety. While I accept that the strengthened laws are vital, I personally believe that there are better measures that need to take into account.

On the one hand, stricter traffic laws are the key to encouraging people to drive more safely. Penalties for dangerous driving can act as a deterrent, meaning that people don’t recommit the same offenses. Moreover, be tough on traffic crime, the heavily fined would have some effect on the witnesses so that people would stay away from making the same errors of the wrongdoers. As a result, the drivers would become disciplined and alert so that they obey the laws more carefully.

On the other hand, It seems to me that safe driving can be promoted in various ways that do not punish drivers. , First, the government should put in place compulsory safety training programs for those old enough to drive. All of them have to pass the test perfectly before getting a driving license. Second, it is necessary for states to invest money in improving road quality. By doing so, the smooth roads contribute to moving in a safe way rather than bumpy ones. Finally, governments or local councils could enlarge public transport systems such as buses or trains and thus this spares people from driving a car or riding motorbike.

In conclusion, to some level, punishments can prevent people from driving badly.personally, not only the law against driving offense but also educational approaches or transportation improvements could bring to drivers can enjoy the safest driving experience.
