Some people think that the government should offer financial support and care to old people while other think that people should save money for their future life.Discuss both view and give your opinion.

There exists a tendency about whether national authorities are advisable to provide old citizens with financial aid and attention. While several social members hold the opinion that the old should save money on their own, I would argue that this policy is beneficial not only at present but also in a long-term period.

On the one hand, there are various reasons why numerous citizens suppose that old people should have their own saving for the rest of their lives. One reason is that independence of financial condition gives old generations a feeling of being helpful members in society. Therefore, this makes them not only gain confidence when they are not burdens of succeeding generations but also be likely to support to their children and grandchildren about finance as well as living skills. Another reason is that public budget will be allocated for key fields such as education, transportation and health care system, should the old members be able to cover living expense. By doing so, the living standard will improve considerably and citizens will have more happiness in their life.

On the other hand, I believe that it is reasonable for old members to receive social welfare from governmental leaders. Initially, it is necessary that national authorities should be responsible for seniors who do not have ability to make ends meet and take care of themselves due to lack of health and family bond. For example, Vietnamese government has given a retirement pension to male and female being at least 60 and 55 respectively to pay for their daily expense. Furthermore, because the elderly is those who spend most of their life making a great contribution to society, offering subsidy and care to old members is an effective way to express gratitude to them.

In conclusion, although there are various advantages why the old should have their own saving for their late life, I suppose that old generation need be got a grant from government agencies.
