Nowadays, more and more people decide to have children later in their life. What are the reasons? Do the advantages of this outweigh disadvantages?

It is universally accepted that couples all over the world are delaying their parenthood. This phenomenon stems from which several impacts on social and family aspects will be outlined in this essay.

The primary cause for people who are having children late is that they want to focus on developing their career. It is because having children can interrupt this process. For example, it takes the women at least 6 months off for the maternity leave when they have childbirth. One another actor adding to this to this phenomenon have tendency of following DINK because they want to enjoy their own life without bothering about their children. Furthermore, poor financial condition is also the reason for remaining childless. It could be explained by the fact that the cost of childcare is very high.

There are two main family effects resulting from this tendency. Firstly, delaying parenthood can do harm to mother and children’s health. However, this situation can do good to children because of the fact that they will have better conditions in terms of healthcare and education. Additionally, getting pregnant also impacts society. Later childbirth is able to make a dedicated workforce in the short term, which can lead to economic development. By contrast, that might cause an aging population, this can result in a lack of a young and enthusiastic labor force in the future.

In conclusion, that males and females remain childless is a reason for having a better life and lead to many effects on human life.
