Please check my essay for speaking- describe a time when you started using a new technological device

Today I would like to tell you about my first time using a smart phone which was about 4 years ago.

Well, I guess I am not really a techie or any type of technology fan. that is reason why having the first smart phone was really an eye-opening experience for me. I got my phone from my mother as a birthday gift in my 18th birthday and I absolutely love it.

At that time, I just have been accepted to college so i needed an electronic gadget which is convenient as a computer and portable as an Ipod. A smart phone from samsung was not a bad start. I chose it because samsung is famouse brand in Asia and I was obsessed with the shape of cellphone . The cellphone was so user-friendly that it took me only 1 hour to figure out all the functions. I can surf the internet, check email, send message, make free international calls and even read e-book . It made me fell like having the whole world in my pocket.

With the help of device, I no longer to carry around my heavy laptop and still do anything what I want. Moreover, this device was so important to me because it kept many picture and memories of my own and my family.
