Some people think the money spent in developing technology for space exploration is not justified. There are more beneficial ways to spend this money. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Government funding for space exploration is a somewhat controversial issue. There are those who say that government should spend money on other sectors than on space exploration, however others think otherwise. I agree that space exploration is worth the cost to some extent.

In general, there are two main reason why people firmly believe that government should money on other sectors, for example education and health. the persuasive reason in favour of this is that education is a backbone of a country. For example, highly educated people can advance their countries faster to become develop countries. This is because people with tertiary education can offer solution to government's problems than people with primary education. A further solid reason is that many people do not have adequate health accesses. This is because the number of doctors is falling, health facilities are in derelict conditions, aging population is rising rapidly. If government shifted space exploration money for health sector, there would be more doctors, better clinics and hospitals and better the elderly health services.

From an overall perspective, there are two reasons why some feel that space exploration is not not a waste of money. The logically compelling reason is that the Earth faces constant threats from sky. This is fundamentally important because we do not have place other than the Earth. As a result, government should prepare for meteors asteroids and possibly look for safe place outside the Earth. Another further solid cogent reason is that many countries admire countries with advanced space technology. Consequently, people from countries with cutting edge space technology will highly be proud of their countries.

In conclusion, having considered both sides of argument, I would say the money allocated for space technology development is worth the cost if it is limited up to exploring ways to prevent the earth from meteors and asteroids.
